2019 is ending which means it’s time to switch gears again🙂

I spent the whole year challenging myself in a lot of different ways I have never done before. Literally putting myself in new environments and nerve wrecking situations just so I could grow stronger which is the only familiar part of my year🥰

I moved back home to Lagos Nigeria from New York City

I took a break from my modeling career
I wrote to and met people I didn’t know to talk about building businesses and growing wealth

I experienced a taste of the music industry and recorded music (4singles) for the first time ever collaborating with new people

I performed my recorded music live in front of both strangers and new friends and family, collaborating with new people

I travelled to a new African country where everybody spoke French and made new friends (big win here😁) I developed new products and launched my @nappyese shop online and sold to new customers locally&internationally (massive win)

I discovered my soul’s purpose

I visited a children’s home to contribute via @nappyesekids

I visualized wrote a whole business plan!

I registered my business name with the government

I rented my very own apartment (no sharing) on Lagos Island, a place I have never lived before

I opened my own yoga space a few weeks ago to continue my yoga business like I set out at the beginning of this year

I made new friends
I went roller skating for the first time!

Whew! I achieved so much and even better succeed at it while trying so many different things
Most importantly this year I got to know myself a whole lot because I spent a lot of time with myself and selectively shared my energy with (lucky) people for my self proclaimed selfish 25th year

Yesterday I found myself missing being a model so I took these screenshots from my portfolios online to remind myself I’m also still a bomb ass model who conquered different cities internationally 💪🏾😊 I cried a few times this year when things got tough and I got sad

My diet hasn’t been the best on some months
But they are small sacrifices I will make again to experience the magic of life the way I did this year

Where are all my feet loving nappyboos? ❤️👣😁 A common misconception of yoga is that yoga is or has to be super hard.
Not so. Yoga can be a simple as toe and joint movements to holding postures of full body stretches and maintaining balance. The most important thing is to synchronize your movements with breath and to stay your limit an inch before you start to feel any sort of pain, afterwards you make small increments to push past your limit as you get more flexible.

SHIRSHASANA also know as Headstand is an advanced Asana I couldn’t practice at the beginning of this year.
I started in January with using walls at home. Now my body had recognized the posture and built the strength I need to get into, out and maintain this posture.

Excerpts for today’s Online yoga session.
#Nappyoga This whole year I practiced ‘Bakasana’ or crow pose.
It is an advanced Asana that I couldn’t do at the beginning of the year. I remember feeling scared to fall and injure my face or my head. And I did fall many times in the beginning.
Now thanks to consistent self practice and YouTube research I can hold this pose for at least 4seconds. Still awhile to go before I perfect it but I am super proud of myself and the progress I’ve made. My arms have gotten so much stronger as well as my core and lower back. Going forward I will list the physical and health benefits of all the poses I’ve mastered
