Do you remember being 6 and wondering why every thing was MADE IN GERMANY?
…. No? just me ‘__’ ? my Walkman(90’s babies ), the toast machine, the TV, of course some stuff were also Made in China as well but I really don’t think we need to have this conversation.
All I knew was that Germany was on my List, a DREAM, a reality somewhere between my consciousness and unconsciousness where the I literally create my Life! (preach sista!)
My Journal entry when Germany finally happened looked a lot like this:
” I guess today I am the luckiest woman alive, 22 and all with a suitcase of Dreams&happiness here I am finally in Berlin! The Capital City of Germany! One of the greatest cities in the world! I mean their Airports certainly are intriguing… LOL. I feel like the more gigantic your dream is the better chances you have of actually achieving them.”

“Germany was everything I thought it would be”
..As structured and as organized as I ever dreamt, so advanced in Technology that they even have a whole airport they don’t even use (lol, this story is for another day). They have managed to preserve some of their old style buildings so, Berlin did feel like a mix of Italy and NYC
My first stop was a beautiful surprise! There I was minding my own business, fresh tourist meat on the streets of Berlin and I spot this shop in the corner of my eye, I think it was the Blonde Afro that caught my attention. An Afro beauty shop with endless array beautiful wigs. If this wasn’t the Universe telling me to fall in-love with the city of Berlin, I don’t know what else. Of course I went in to make sure I wasn’t dreaming.
Guys when I say this shop had EVERYTHING a nappy girl could dream of. I got myself these here bad boys, Morimax 100% Pure Jojoba and Grape seed Oil.
Jojoba Oil moisturizes very dry sensitive skin and it reduces the visibility of body scars, Grape Seed Oil is rich in linoleic acids, has a regeneration renewal effect on the skin while also know for its nourishing effect on the hair fiber –insert Girl on the podium emoji here–How do I know all these things?? Serzly, I just research you guys 🙂
Now WIGS are my favorite protective style because they are so easy and convenient, and my preferences Curly&Big,you can read about my natural hair journey, click here but this sexy number was screaming out my name!! Its pink purple and blonde. yes, my crazy levels go from 0 to 100 real quick! Haha. I love how colorful and fun and crazy it looks, outchea on some serious cochella vibes!!
The next day I decided to wear my wig to the wall of Infamous Wall of Berlin. Some History on the Wall Of Berlin; After World War II ended in 1945, Germany’s defeated nation was divided into four. The eastern part of the country went to the Soviet Union, while the western part went to the United States, Great Britain and (eventually) France
Ugghhh! who likes History??? Personally I think war is unwise and unnecessary and there is no conflict in the world that cannot be solved with a little bit of Love. Anyway, the wall was built to divide East Germany from West Germany and of course all the people suffered until November 9, 1989 🙁 when East German Communist Party announced that citizens of the GDR could cross the border. Hurrrah! Down fell the Wall. To this day, the Berlin Wall remains one of the most powerful and enduring symbols of the Cold War.
These photographs are my favorites from all the Graffiti on the remains of the wall. The barricades on it doesn’t make it very attractive to photograph but I will share them with you anyways.
